My Favorite Cities in the United States!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year’s celebration! I was in New Orleans, Louisiana for New Year’s and it was a blast. The food was awesome and the people there were really fun. I am now in the car returning home from my road trip with the family. I am quite overwhelmed with the amount of cities I saw in the last week and to say at the least I’m tired haha. Visiting all these cities made me want to do a post about my favorite cities that I have ever been to. If you have been to any of these cities, let me know what you thought of them! If you have a city that you loved and think I should go to, let me know! I would love to go there! Enjoy 2011!

# 8. Savannah, Georgia
You should definitely check out River Street in this city. There are tons of shops, boats, and performers on the street. There are also a lot of candy stores where you can go in and see the employees make the treats! This is a gorgeous, old-styled city and their seafood is really good too!

# 7. Baltimore, Maryland
If you must see the Baltimore Inner Harbor. There are great restaurants and shopping areas. This would be a great date place in my opinion! There are also little paddle boats that you could ride in the harbor. If you are ever in this city, you should stop by Georgetown which is about thirty minutes away and get some Georgetown Cupcakes! Here is my post about them: http://fabulousfinds4.blogspot.com/2010/11/georgetown-cupcakes.html

# 6. New Orleans, Louisiana
If you go here, you must walk along Bourbon Street. There are so many great bands playing in restaurants on the street. There are also people throwing down beads from their hotels and its just a fun environment. I was surprised by the weather here; it was 75 degrees in December and really humid (I was sweating lol). Beware, however, that there are a lot of people drinking in this city lol. If you’re interested in eating here, I loved the Oceana Grill and suggest getting Beignets (Powdered Sugar Fried Dough) from Cafe du Monde. While you’re here, you should buy a Mardi Gras feathered mask! They are a great souvenir and you can find them in some stores for $4!

# 5. San Antonio, Texas

This city is gorgeous at night. There is a river that goes downtown and there are tons of restaurants along it. You can also take a boat ride on the river! The weather was also amazing; in December it was 75 degrees! If you like seeing pieces of history, you could also visit the Alamo!

# 4. Las Vegas, Nevada

Such a pretty city. I love this city at night, all the lights are amazing and the buildings are gorgeous. You must go to a show here! I got to see David Copperfield (the magician) and my mind was blown. haha They get the best performers and actors to perform in this city! The casinos also look fun too but I am not of age 😦 lol Oh well. The shopping in this city is also great!

# 3. Chicago, Illinois
You must try the deep dish pizza if you go to Chicago; it is amazing. I never thought I was going to have a pizza that was taller than a pie lol The Sears Tower is also the coolest thing ever; you take a really fast elevator up the 110 stories and get an amazing view of the city once you’re at the top. Bring your coat though, this city is pretty cold from the fall to April.

Β # 2. Orlando, Florida
Β Β Β Β Β  Ok in my opinion, Disney World truly is the happiest place in the world. This place is full of rides and colors. There are cartoon characters running around everywhere and great places to eat. If you’re not into rides, you can see performances, the Animal Kingdom, or go to Epcot and seeing performers from all around the world (my favorite are the Chinese acrobats). If you think you are too old to go to Disney World, then you can also go to Universal Studios. This place is packed with roller coasters and fun attractions. I also love Orlando because of their beaches. There are a lot of great places to go in this city.

#1. Washington D.C.

My favorite city of all time is Washington D.C. There is so much to see here! I love going to all the memorials and hearing about the history that they represent. This may sound silly, but after seeing the movie National Treasure, I wanted to see this city so badly because of the possible secrets and mysteries in the city. lol I recommend going to Union Station, all the memorials, museums, and going inside the capital building. To say at the least, this city is gorgeous!
