REVIEW: Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Pop

IMG_4457If you follow the beauty community or youtube, then you might have heard that Jaclyn Hill recently collaborated with Victoria Beckham’s line “Becca” to create a highlight called “Champagne Pop” ($38). This product sold like crazy and sold out on its release date on Sephora’s website. After it came back in stock, I put in my order for it and I’m so glad I did! I love this product and I wasn’t even a huge highlight person to begin with. I have oily skin so I usually try to reduce the amount of light coming onto my skin instead of increase it. Lol But there’s something different about this product.DSC08210

Here are notable traits:

  • Has a beautiful golden peach color and looks beautiful on all skin tones
  • Looks a little powdery but surprisingly I haven’t noticed any fallout
  • Really pigmented but still requires a heavy hand to get the right amount of highlight on your skin (I usually apply it twice to my upper cheek bone).

How I apply it:
I typically apply this product on my upper cheek bones and on my nose (shown below) with the small end of the Tarte Slenderizer Bamboo Contour Brush . I typically stay away from the forehead, because this is where I usually get oily.

I wasn’t going to buy this product originally but then saw Jaclyn Hill’s sister’s review of the product and was IMG_4468instantly sold- it looked amazing on her! think Jaclyn’s sister’s review and my review together show that this product is great for people of all skin types and undertones. I’m also always looking for gold and peachy products because I have yellow undertones in my skin, whereas many highlights and blushes are made for people with pink undertones.

I can definitely see myself using this product in the summer to get a nice glow as well as in the winter to make my skin look more alive. Great product and I highly recommend it! It’s limited edition so hurry and get it before it’s gone.

❤ Emily
