Alright, if you go to Georgetown University, I just want to let you know that you are insanely lucky because your school is gorgeous! My friend Isabella and I both had heard that the school was definitely worth a visit and we basically couldn’t stop yelling about how pretty it was once we got there. I had to do some obligatory twirls in front of Healy Hall.. well.. because just look at it!
The day we visited Georgetown University & DC was yet again another scorching hot day so a dress was necessary. Our Uber driver told us there was a weather alert for people to stay inside. Lol I’m not sure if you can tell but my dress is actually strapless & I put a tank top behind it (Isabella was fooled)! I did this so that I didn’t have to worry about my dress falling throughout the day (and plus I like the way it looks!). Here are the details on my outfit:
After seeing Georgetown University, Isabella and I decided to go to the Jefferson Memorial because we both had not been there in a couple of years. I love the inside of the dome at the Jefferson Memorial as well as reading the quotes on the wall. The view of the water and Washington Monument from the memorial is lovely as well.
I wanted to save desserts for the end of this post. Before we left Georgetown, we made a stop in Georgetown Cupcake because Isabella had never been to the original one. She got the Key Lime Cheesecake Cupcake and loved it and I got a caramel latte and it hit the spot. Definitely worth a visit.
By the end of the hot day, I really wanted some sort of refreshing/ cold treat. We found this little gelato shop called Pitango and it was delicious. I got the pomegranate and mango flavors and it was just as good as it looked.
And there you go! There was Isabella and I’s day in Georgetown and DC in a nutshell. I had three wonderful weekends in DC this summer and definitely encourage you to explore the city if you haven’t before! What are your favorite spots in DC?
