Hello everyone! Back in the summer, I was doing a lot of traveling and one of my favorite places to go was Philadelphia. On the 4th of July, my friend and I did some city exploring before going to the largest free concert in the US that night! Even though these pics are from a month ago, I figured I would still share them with you in case you also have to alter an outfit to be normal enough for walking around a city but still fun enough for a concert! I try to do this by following four tips:

1. Wear comfy shoes– I would’ve probably worn black boots had it not been for a day of walking before the concert. You don’t want painful feet before the dancing even starts!
2. Play up your hair– I thought adding the bandana to my hair was fun but still cute for walking around the city.
3. Go with a small purse– It’s convenient to not swing around a giant purse while  walking around the city and dancing in the evening.
4. Open Back– There’s nothing that says “fun” like an open back shirt! You won’t even feel self conscious while passing strangers on the street because the front of your shirt will look normal (since the party’s in the back!

One reason I felt obligated to do this post about Philly is because my friend showed me the most amazing brunch place! It is called Village Whiskey and is located at 118 S 20th St. For my meal I had chicken & waffles, fries fried in duck fat, and a bloody mary. I was literally lost in my food and wish I could’ve eaten it four times. The waffles came with this maple bacon butter and it tasted so good I didn’t even need syrup! The fries were seasoned perfectly and had so much flavor! It is one of my favorite brunch places I’ve ever been to! You have to go if you’re ever in the area!!!

I hope you all enjoyed this post!
