Hello lovely people! I just returned from a 16-day trip to Tianjin, China which is the city my family is from! It was great to explore the city as well as catch up with my extended family and grandparents who I only see every few years. It can be hard having family that lives so far away so it’s always important to embrace the time I get to spend with them.

I remembered that during one of my previous visits to Tianjin, my mom took me to the beautiful Hai River so this time I asked her to take me back (shout out to my mom for taking these pics!). The city modeled this river after the Seine River in Paris but designed it with the intentions of making it prettier than the Seine. After my mom and I went to the river, we went into Little Italy (which really should be called Little Europe b/c there was German & French food too!) and we had a great meal of pizza and calamari! Here are the photos we took!thumb_IMG_1380_1024.jpg

Every time I’m in China, it feels everyone in the city is dressed for church or something. Everyone is pretty dressed up and no one really exposes their shoulders or wears shorts. So to cover up on this particular day, I wore a thin hot pink cardigan and tights. It was so hot out so this was the coolest way to stay covered but still be stylish.DSC02120.jpgdsc02136thumb_img_1386_1024dsc02131dsc02113DSC02162.jpg

Pictured below is the lovely meal my mom and I had! The bottom right picture is another way I styled this outfit when it got too hot to actually wear the cardigan!

I’ll post some more pictures of China once I get back from my trip to Ireland this week! #blessed For now I’m going to try to rest up and get over this jet lag! I literally woke up at 4:30am today after sleeping 3 hours and was wide awake. My body is struggling to adjust haha. Have a great week!
❤ Emily
