Alot happened yesterday & today so blogging is the perfect distraction. If you saw my last post, then you know that in July I took a last minute trip to LA to visit my roomie, Isabella, who was on a project out there! Every time I travel, I try to plan as efficiently as possible & do that through mapping everything I want to do out on My Maps (by Google)- you can also share the map with your friends to include places they want to go! Here is everything we did in a little over 3 days!

Day 1

We started our 1st full day in LA working from the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills (we are both fulltime consultants). After, we headed out to explore!

Los Angeles County Museum of Art
You’ve definitely seen this place on Instagram before (see pics I took here in my part 1 blog post). One thing I didn’t expect was how large museum was- it’s multiple buildings and took us a few hours to get through. We really enjoyed the exhibits!

The Grove
If you like shopping this is a popular place to go with a lot of price options! It’s also a spot where you might see some famous youtubers or celebrities! The day I went was the same day that Gabriel and Jess Conte and Maddie Ziegler were at The Grove!

The Original Farmers Market
After you shop, you can grab a bite at this giant farmers market. There are sooo many options- on my last visit, I got a smoothie, quesadilla, and nutella crepe!

This bar is on sunset boulevard which is up on a hill so the views of the city were beautiful! We had a great time sitting by the pool & chatting with a cocktail!thumb_XMQO7225_1024thumb_IMG_5329_1024thumb_IMG_5310_1024

Day 2

For day 2, we headed to downtown LA, to Burbank, and lastly to the Griffith Observatory!

The Last Bookstore
I found this place on Instagram and thought the book displays looked so unique! This place is massive and definitely worth a walk through of both levels.thumb_IMG_5343_1024

Grand Central Market
There was so much good food here that it was hard to pick where to eat. I ended up getting Tacos Tumbras a Tomas & tried their carnitas & carne asada tacos. These things were so stuffed & I ordered extra tortillas on the side- so delicious!thumb_IMG_5382_1024thumb_IMG_5383_1024

Warner Bros Studios
If you watch TV or movies at all, you HAVE TO go to a studio tour! We saw the set of Friends and Big Bang Theory, the houses from Gilmore Girls and Pretty Little Liars, the costumes and props from Batman, Harry Potter, and Gravity, and so much more! This was definitely a highlight of our trip!thumb_IMG_5493_1024thumb_IMG_5412_1024

The cafe from La La Land!

The set of PLL (The shed where Allie disappears from) & Gilmore Girls!

The sorting hat from Harry Potter!

One of the Batmobiles!

The set of Friends!!

The Griffith Observatory
This is a well known spot for gorgeous views of LA as well as the Hollywood sign. In my opinion, I think LA looks small from the top of Griffith Observatory however, it is still a beautiful place to go and it’s free to explore! The telescope here is open at a certain time each evening as well for public viewing! When we went, we got to see Jupiter through one!

Day 3

Day 3 for us included going to Melrose and then the beach! (My first time on Melrose Ave was when I ran into Rebel Wilson!)

Village Idiot
Our original plan was to go to Blu Jam Cafe for brunch but since the line was out the door, we walked to Village Idiot which was right around the corner. We were immediately seated and ordered iced coffee, delicious pancakes,  eggs benedicts, and potatoes! Loved this place!

Melrose Trading Post
Every Sunday, this trendy flea market opens and is a great spot for shopping around for clothes, jewelry, antiques, decorations, etc!

Alfred Tea Room
This is such a cute, little, and pink tea shop! If you google it too you’ll find a lot of pics of celebrities who have stopped in! I meant to go to the sister store too which is Alfred Coffee. They are known for starting the quote “But first, coffee” and seems to have an adorable space too!

Venice Beach
After spending time in Melrose, Isabella and I headed to Venice beach! Santa Monica is also right next door if you end up wanting to check out the pier before the beach! We had the most relaxing afternooon of laying out and walking around. The boardwalk at Venice Beach is long and filled with shops and places to eat. We grabbed poke at Poke Poke (in my first pic of this post) and an acai bowl!

What to get before you fly out: Urth Caffe
Guys I love Urth Caffe so much and wish it was in other cities besides LA. It’s known for being healthy and organic and has a ton of options. I recommend their kale salad, matcha vanilla latte, margherita pizza, and chocolate shake!

Hope you all enjoyed this post!! I had so much fun exploring LA with my friend and will 100% be back. ❤ Let me know if you check out any of these spots!
