Emily Travels: Toronto

So I originally requested to start my full time job on June 6th but got pushed back all the way to July 26th which in a way was actually a blessing. It gave me time to get to go on two trips that were far and awesome! The trip I went on the weekend before I started work was to Toronto with my parents! We started out by flying into Toronto and driving to Niagara Falls. Guys, it’s true, the Canada side really is more beautiful (and way bigger). The next day, we drove to Toronto and explored the city! I loved how large and urban this whole city was! Canadian cities have a certain beauty to them because you can see the European influence on certain structures as well as unique clean Canadian designs! I definitely feel very lucky to get to Canada two times within a month! (See my previous post about Victoria, BC, Canada here.) See where I went in Toronto below!

Emily Travels: Glacier National Park (MT)

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetFlannel (on sale!) | V-neck (similar one here) | Leggings | Sneakers | Sunglasses | Nails (see review here)

Glacier National Park was too pretty. Between the iced covered mountain tops, the lakes, valleys, etc. there was so much to see. On this chilly day, I knew we might be doing a little hiking so my main focus of my outfit was comfort. I went with basically the softest shirt I own (my best friend bought the exact same one too) and leggings which were perfect for walking around and sitting in the car as we drove around parts of the park. I have been in love with layering pieces lately and I loved that this outfit looked very relaxed. I visited Glacier National Park on a roadtrip with my parents from Atlanta to Seattle. We made a lot of stops including some in Canada (see post here). If you’re ever in Montana, be sure to check out this beautiful national park! DSC03344 Continue reading “Emily Travels: Glacier National Park (MT)”

I can finally knock Canada off my list of countries I’ve never been to! My parents & I took a cross country road trip (I’m covering it in a future post) from Atlanta to Seattle & stopped in Victoria, British Columbia on our second to last day! Victoria is SUCH a beautiful city! It was great to tour the English styled buildings, walk by the harbor, & take pictures in front of all the flowers (Victoria is known as the city of gardens). On our second day in Victoria, we went to the Butchart Gardens & were blown away by the amount of blooms there! I loved that they had so many separate gardens (Japanese garden, Italian garden, rose garden, etc.) Definitely recommend checking out this place if you’re ever here! For my outfit I wanted to go with plain patterned clothing since I knew we were going to be surrounded by so many colorful flowers! Every piece I’m wearing is a big staple in my wardrobe! I felt so confident in this outfit!thumb_DSC03487_1024 Continue reading “Emily Travels: Butchart Gardens (Victoria)”

Hello lovely people! I just returned from a 16-day trip to Tianjin, China which is the city my family is from! It was great to explore the city as well as catch up with my extended family and grandparents who I only see every few years. It can be hard having family that lives so far away so it’s always important to embrace the time I get to spend with them.

Many of you know, but I just returned from a trip to San Francisco (see recap post #1 here). While I was there, my friends and I really wanted to explore Napa Valley and man was it beautiful! There are over 600 vineyards and with all the hills, you are bound to have amazing views! We went to a winery called “Artesa” and there are details about that below. Here are some tips if you’re going to Napa soon! Continue reading “Emily Travels: Napa Valley”

Emily Travels: Rome

DSC00451Hello beautiful people! If you follow me on Instagram (@emsies_emily), then you know that I just returned from an amazing Spring Break trip to Rome, Italy with my mom! This was my second time in the city and I can’t help but feeling like Lizzie McGuire when I’m there. The city is insanely beautiful with so much to see and so much amazing food to try. On our first day in Rome, we went to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and Piazza de Republica! Continue reading “Emily Travels: Rome”
