HALLOWEEN Costume and Makeup!

Ahoy everyone!

I hope you had a fantastic Halloween this past weekend! In my opinion, it is one of the most fun holidays because there are so many events going on. I personally had a great time dressing up with my friends in the city. If it isn’t obvious in the picture, I went out as a sailor!

Here are the details about my outfit:
– Hat: Party City
– Dress: Actually was from a dance recital back in 8th grade (not joking)
– Tights: Publix- It was an impulse decision haha
– Heels: Kelly&Katie heels from Designer Shoe Warehouse!

I created a collage of all the makeup products I used to complete my look! They are listed below.

(1) Tarte Amazonian Clay 12Hr Foundation (see review here)- $38, (2) Urban Decay’s Naked2 Palette- $54,  (3) Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer- $30, (4) NYX Stick Blush in “Tea Rose”- $6, (5) Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in “111-Kiss of Life”- Kate Moss Collection (see review here)- $5.49, (6) Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner (see review here)- $18, (7) MAC Paint Pot in “Bare Study” (see review here)- $20, (8) Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner- $9.99, (9) MAC Limited Edition Eyeshadow in “Mayhem”

I’m not quite sure what face I was trying to make in the left picture. Haha But I was going for very defined eyes and used a good bit of the Urban Decay “Blackout” color in my crease. I love wearing red lipstick and the color just so happened to match my dress! This makeup look would be great for any occasion as well!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Leave me a comment telling me what you were for Halloween!

Two Halloween Makeup Looks of the Past

It is finally Halloween again!! What a fun time of year. I love dressing up especially because I get to experiment with new and unique makeup looks.  Here are two of my “creations” from past Halloweens!

Look #1: Cute Lil’ Cat

Last year I was so busy I didn’t really get the time to go buy a costume for a pumpkin carving event the day before Halloween. I decided to do what every girl has probably done in her life: goes as a cat. Funny story though– It would’ve been wise to do my makeup once I got to my destination, but instead I did my makeup in my apartment and then had to walk down 10th street (where a ton of people pass by) and then through campus to get to where I was going. Needless to say, I got a lot of weird looks since I had all this makeup on my face.. and it wasn’t even Halloween yet.

In terms of makeup, I wanted to go for an interesting eyeliner design since it’s not something I get to wear on a everyday basis. This look was only possible with the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner because once it sets, it sets. (See my review here). It is what I also used to draw the rest of the black marks on my face. The eyeshadow combo was from the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette and the pink color I used on my nose and lips was actually NYX’s Stick Blush in Pink Lotus. Overall, I loved the way this look turned out!

Look #2: Zombie in Apt 207

This look was a result of me seeing if I could create a zombie look- and I would say I did pretty well! (I know my neck doesn’t match but that’s because I did this look at night for fun and washed it off right after.)

First thing I did here was to take a concealer in a much lighter tone than my skin & dab it with a sponge all over my face. I chose to use the Physicians Formula Strength Concealer. This created a uneven texture that could be seen as extra skin on the face. Next I took a matte black eyeshadow (from Urban Decay’s Naked2 Palette) & basically smeared it in a messy circle around each eye- zombies need to look tired right? Lastly, I used an Estee Lauder dark red lip gloss as fake blood & created three large streaks on my face. As a finishing touch, the black teeth made this look extra scary.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a fun and safe Halloween!!
