REVIEW: Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24 Hr Cream Eyeshadows

Hello everyone! Cream eyeshadows are something I played a lot with in the past but I recently rediscovered them! My friend gave me these two Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24 Hr Cream Eyeshadows and I love them! I have the shades “55 Inked in Pink” and “05 Too Cool”. They retail for $6.99 each.

The lasting power from these shadows are comparable to any high end one I have tried. They go on easily as well and don’t crease. Some people use these as a base but I enjoy wearing them on their own. I like using Too Cool for nights I go out and I like adding a champagne shadow to Inked in Pink to make it more wearable. Definitely a product I recommend picking up when you’re at the drugstore!

REVIEW: Maybelline SuperStay 24Hr 2-Step Lip Color

I am so excited to review an amazing product for you today! It is the Maybelline SuperStay 24Hr 2-Step Lip Color (I used the shade “Keep It Red”). It retails for $8.99 and at ULTA they were doing a BOGO 1/2 off sale! This product contains a non-drying stain and a lip balm/gloss. This lip stain has, by far, the longest lasting power of any product I have EVER tried! With that being said, I suggest putting the color on slowly to make sure that it is applied perfectly because once it sets, it sets. The good thing though is that the applicator is shaped in a way that you can use the main part to get the color on your lips, but then use the tip to accurately outline your lips.

REVIEW: Maybelline SuperStay 14HR Lipstick

Hey everyone! If you saw my last post, I mentioned that I was excited about all of my new products! I decided to try them right away so that I could write reviews for you guys! I’ve realized that when I’m working all day, I’ll apply lipstick in the morning but forget to reapply it throughout the day. With that being said, I realized that I needed to try lip products with some serious lasting power. The first product I purchased and tested was the Maybelline SuperStay 14HR Lipstick in the color “Forever Fuschia”. It cost $8.99 and is the most perfect, everyday color for my skin tone!

———————————————————————————

The Test: This product applies just like a lipstick and the “Forever Fuschia” has a little bit of shimmer to it. NOTE: It is important to use a lip scrub or a method to get rid of dead skin on your lips before applying this lipstick. If you don’t do this, it will definitely show. The first row of photos was taken right after I applied the lipstick.

The Results: This second row of pictures is after wearing the product for about 8 hours. In that time, I took a nap, ate a meal, drank water, and wiped my mouth with a napkin. As you can see, a lot of the color did wear off but I’m still left with a color that is more fuschia than my bare lips. I will say this lipstick does not feel like a stain and its rather difficult to rub your lips together with it on. However, it’s comfortable to wear and I forgot I even had it on. This product really only lasts about 9 hours at most instead of the full 14 like the packaging claims. I would give this product 3 out of 5 stars.

If you were wondering, my scarf is from Payless ShoeSource- yes they do sell more than shoes. Haha Anyways, go be fabulousand I will talk to you in my next post!

Mini Ulta Haul!

Hello everyone! After work today, I decided to pick up some new goodies at Ulta! They just built one near me and I was soo excited about that. Since it’s getting near the holiday season, Ulta has so many new gift sets and products that it took some self control to not buy more things. Here’s what I ended up getting!

  1. Maybelline SuperStay 14hr Lipstick in “Fuschia Forever”- $8.99
  2.  O.P.I Nail Lacquer in “Muir Muir on the Wall”- $2.50 (clearance is the bomb!)
  3. Essie Nail Polish in “Summit of Style”- $8.50
  4. Maybelline SuperStay 24 2-Step Color in “Keep It Red”- $8.99

One great thing about Ulta is that they usually do a buy one, get one half off sale for certain brands. Maybelline had that deal this time so the second product only cost me $4.50 instead of $8.99! This visit made me so excited about future blog posts, I think I am literally going to review everyone of these products.

Stay tuned for the reviews!

HALLOWEEN Costume and Makeup!

Ahoy everyone!

I hope you had a fantastic Halloween this past weekend! In my opinion, it is one of the most fun holidays because there are so many events going on. I personally had a great time dressing up with my friends in the city. If it isn’t obvious in the picture, I went out as a sailor!

Here are the details about my outfit:
– Hat: Party City
– Dress: Actually was from a dance recital back in 8th grade (not joking)
– Tights: Publix- It was an impulse decision haha
– Heels: Kelly&Katie heels from Designer Shoe Warehouse!

I created a collage of all the makeup products I used to complete my look! They are listed below.

(1) Tarte Amazonian Clay 12Hr Foundation (see review here)- $38, (2) Urban Decay’s Naked2 Palette- $54,  (3) Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer- $30, (4) NYX Stick Blush in “Tea Rose”- $6, (5) Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in “111-Kiss of Life”- Kate Moss Collection (see review here)- $5.49, (6) Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner (see review here)- $18, (7) MAC Paint Pot in “Bare Study” (see review here)- $20, (8) Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner- $9.99, (9) MAC Limited Edition Eyeshadow in “Mayhem”

I’m not quite sure what face I was trying to make in the left picture. Haha But I was going for very defined eyes and used a good bit of the Urban Decay “Blackout” color in my crease. I love wearing red lipstick and the color just so happened to match my dress! This makeup look would be great for any occasion as well!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Leave me a comment telling me what you were for Halloween!

Current Eyeliner Favorites!

Hey everyone! My friend asked me to recommend an eyeliner for her so I thought I would share it with  you as well! She asked me specifically to name a drugstore one rather than a high end product. Here’s what I recommend:

1) Liquid Liner–> Maybelline New York Master Precise Liquid Liner- $7.99
This is a felt tip liner that is very easy to use and super quick. Anytime I’m in a rush I use this product. It only takes seconds to dry and then you’re good to go. It’s easy to make as thick or thin of a line as you want and you can also wing it out easily. Note that this is not a waterproof eyeliner though so keep it dry! My friend also swears by this product!

2) Automatic Eyeliner–> Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer- $5.99
I have reviewed this product before I believe but wanted to talk about it again because it is one of the best drugstore automatic eyeliners! This product is waterproof and stays in place throughout the day. It is opaque and also looks great for a long duration after you apply it!

I love both eyeliners and wanted to share both because people usually prefer one type or the other. I hope you find this helpful and try out the products!!
